The highly anticipated sequel to the BBC hit 'Life of a Mountain: Scafell Pike' sees award winning film maker Terry Abraham return to the Lake District to showcase "the people's mountain", Blencathra.
This spectacular documentary looks at the lives of local residents, school children and visitors to the mountain with contributions from comedian Ed Byrne, broadcaster Stuart Maconie, mountaineer Alan Hinkes OBE and record breaking fellrunner Steve Birkinshaw.
"This superb film captures not just the landscape of Blencathra but the mountain's heart and spirit. This is a film to be treasured and enjoyed time and time again."
ROGER SMITH, THE GREAT OUTDOORS MAGAZINE
"Life of a Mountain: Blencathra is a remarkable and beautiful portrait."
BOB SMITH, GROUGH MAGAZINE
"You can't fail to be blown away by this movie. From local guides, fell runners and resident hill poets and a hilarious scene where seriously out-of-his-depth Stuart Maconie gets the jitters on Sharp Edge, Life of a Mountain goes right to the heart of what Blencathra means to the Lakeland community. Some of the landscape scenes are astonishing but it's the interaction between landscape and local you'll remember once it's finished. We're already looking forward to this trilogy's finale; Helvellyn."
"Terry's trademark stunning mountainscapes are as much the stars of the film as the folks are. A moving, triumphant success."
JOHN MANNING, LAKELAND WALKER
"Majestic sweeping landscape shots and awe-inspiring timelapse sequences look more impressive than ever. Without a doubt this is Terry Abraham's best film to date. He has surpassed himself."
CHRIS TOWNSEND, AUTHOR AND BACKPACKER

MIKE APPLETON, AUTHOR, OUTDOOR WRITERS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS GUILD
"As much a piece of art as a definitive documentary. Abraham's latest Lakeland masterpiece could rival anything the Beeb's own natural history unit has produced."
DAVE MYCROFT, MY OUTDOORS
"Terry Abraham's cinematic love affair with Lakeland is painted in a rich pallette of russet tones and moody lighting. Romantic without being sentimental, by turns sweeping and dramatic and intricate and personal, this understated yet heartfelt film is his most accomplished to date."
DAN BAILEY, UK HILLWALKING
"So can Life of a Mountain: Blencathra live up to the high expectations? Personally, I think so. It's the must see film of the year."
