Last Paradise is a 45-year quest for adrenaline and paradise using stunning original footage of surfing, skiing, jet boating, snowboarding, bungee jumping and hang gliding and mountaineering.
In the beautiful wilderness of New Zealand, when necessity was the mother of invention, a maverick bunch of kids began experimenting with something that would change the world. The film relives the journey of extreme sports innovators on the roads less traveled as they discovered secret paradises which have long since gone.
Cinematographer and director Clive Neeson led a double life between extreme sports madmen and the conservative scientific community, Clive filmed the journey from experimental beginnings, building his own filming accessories to get a closer perspective of action sports and the unique beauty of extreme New Zealand and Australia and the world’s undiscovered paradises. In 2007, Clive had the unique opportunity to digitally master 45 years of film footage in high quality at Peter Jackson's Park Road Post, Wellington and to create the Last Paradise film.
