Robert Peroni is an old mountain guide, mountaineer, skier and extreme explorer of the mountains. For nearly 30 years, he's lived in Tasiilaq in Greenland with the intention of creating a model of alternative and sustainable development in close collaboration with the Innuit people. This film tells the story of a man who has chosen to abandon the modern cultures of the western world, instead immersing himself in a culture which poses a credible alternative to the models of the Western world. The film unfolds through a series of interviews with Robert Peroni, local characters, guides, climbers and skiers from around the world. The interviews are interspersed with footage of nature and action (downhill skiing, views and travels with sled dogs) in an attempt to introduce the viewer into the fascinating world of Greenland and the problems of its people.
